WHAT IS YGS?
Are you ready to shape the future of our world? Join us at the 2024 Yenching Global Symposium. The Yenching Global Symposium (YGS) is the annual flagship event organized by the Yenching Academy that brings together people from different disciplines with a common interest: China. This is the first in-person conference since COVID-19. We're seeking passionate volunteers like you to make a meaningful impact and foster global connections.
WHY VOLUNTEER?
Be part of an extraordinary event where brilliant minds come together to tackle humanity's most important problems. The symposium cultivates leadership, sparks creativity, and promotes intercultural understanding, creating a platform for collaboration and positive change. The success of the symposium and its long-lasting influence on the world and the lives of delegates and all attendees are greatly influenced by your special abilities, perspectives, and skills. Based on this, we are calling for volunteers in the following team/roles:
Public Relations Team
Academics Team
Delegates Team
Logistics Team
Social Team
Design Team

Access to Comprehensive Training: Gain valuable skills and knowledge through comprehensive training programs provided to volunteers.
Earn Volunteer hours for PKU students and EC Points for YCA students: Receive recognition and earn up to 4 volunteer hours and 3 EC points for your valuable contributions, showcasing your dedication and commitment.
Networking Opportunities: Connect with renowned speakers and industry experts during a special roundtable dinner, allowing you to expand your professional network.
Full Access to Symposium Sessions, Workshops, and Events: Enjoy unrestricted access to symposium sessions, workshops, and various events, providing you with a rich and immersive learning experience on pressing global issues.
Certificate of Participation: Receive a certificate acknowledging your participation and valuable contribution as a volunteer, enhancing your credentials and demonstrating your commitment to making a difference.

关于北京大学燕京学堂全球青年中国论坛（YGS 2024）
北京大学燕京学堂全球青年中国论坛（Yenching Global Symposium, YGS）已经走过了8个年头。YGS 2024吸引全球超过10000名参会者申请。作为北京大学燕京学堂的旗舰活动，YGS由学堂学生发起筹办。论坛旨在为世界各地的青年领袖、行业专家和燕京学堂的青年学子提供一个平台，从多元文化的视角对中国有关的议题进行跨学科对话。YGS 2024的主题为“齐思新象，共塑均衡” (Equilibrium: Our World in Balance) 。YGS 2024将继续在“互尊互信、互惠互利、互学互鉴、互帮互助”这一精神指引下，搭建一个汇聚国际力量的平台，集结全球杰出的青年领袖，通过高度深入的对话和富有洞见的讨论，共同创想国际合作和未来世界的图景。
